You can see what they're going for, but a cacophany of drums, lashings of harmony and a dusting of magic takes a bit more work to achieve. In a strange way, 'Run Against Traffic' bears resemblance to what the master tape of a Doves' record would sound like with half the tracks on mute. It's there, but there's just not enough of it.
