OVERVIEW Ali & The DTs is a blues influenced group which is based in Dublin. The group originally came together in 2006. The current line up features Alan Moore [Vocals], Gerry Power [Guitar], Terry McGuinness [Vocals & Guitar], Mick Power [Drums & Percussion], Christian Volkmann [Blues Harp, Percussion & Vocals], Salvatore Urbano [Piano], Chris Byrne [Bass Guitar]. The line has been augmented by the inclusion of Carla Brunell and Gina Moore. The band cites classic blues and soul artists such as Otis Redding, James Brown and Muddy Waters as influences. The band released its debut album entitled 'Get The First Layer Of Civilisation Off' in 2009. 2006 - Band formed 2008 - Salvatore Urbano joins the group on piano 2009 - Release of 'Get The First Layer Of Civilisation Off' album - Ali & The DTs perform as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin [16 - 18 October]
