OVERVIEW Albrecht's Pencil was formed by Fionnbarr Byrne and Joel Cathcart in 2007 when they were both studying at Queen's University in Belfast. During 2008, the duo was busy : writing, recording, releasing their debut EP, 'Extended Play' and recruiting a new member, Laura McGrogan, a cellist. In April 2009, the band released a B-Sides compilation entitled 'Ekes From The Creel'.
