A number of members of A-House had earlier played with Last Chance.

Formed In 1985 from the group Last Chance.
Swim Line Up : Joe Reilly [Vocals], John McCrea [Piano, Keyboards & Synth], Paul Holmes [Bass Guitar], Dave Dawson [Drums & Percussion], Ger Kiely [Guitars]

With Dermot Wylie leaving the band in 1990, A-House recruited Dave Dawson who had previously played with Swim. Swim released one album 'Sundrive Road' of radio freindly pop during their short career.

After 'I Want To Much', Dermot Wylie left the band and was replaced by Dave Dawson.

The line up of the band was further enhanced by the addition of Dave Morrisey on Keyboards and Susan Kavanagh on Backing Vocals. Dave had previously played with Missing Link

Formed In 1998 when Martin Healy approached Niamh McDonald with a view to forming a writing / Performing partnership. After a few months of writing the duo met French guitarist, Morgan Pincot.

When A-House split in 1997, Dave Couse was initially involved with recording a number of tracks with Briana Corrigan, formerly the singer with The Beautiful South. These recordings did not lead to anything and never saw the light of day. In 2000, Dave Couse and Fergal Bunbury resurfaced again, this time as part of a new group - Lokomotiv.

AV8 changed their name to The Sweet Hereafter in 2003.

After working on a number of projects, none of which produced any significant output, Dave Couse finally released his debut solo album, "Genes" in 2003.
